TryIT graphics - Impressionist paintings of the ten main fruits and veggies

Veggies:

  1. Carrots
  2. Aubergine
  3. Tomato
  4. Onion
  5. Broccoli
  6. Mushrooms
  7. Lettuce
  8. Peppers
  9. Pumpkin
  10. Zucchini

Fruits:

  1. Strawberries
  2. Mango
  3. Watermelon
  4. Banana
  5. Orange
  6. Apple
  7. Grapes
  8. Pineapple
  9. Peaches
  10. Cherries

The idea is to create ambiguity between the user and the foodstuffs - a lot of food fear comes from predisposed ideas surrounding an object - the impressionist renders of the fruit and veg remove those ideas, but leave certain aspects in tact - such as colour, and in some cases shape.

The acrylic paper has a beautiful texture that shines through the gouache in some of the “marks”. Through this, I’m trying to disassociate the viewers ideas of texture and create a unified “this is good for you” feel.
